We are an asset management company licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission (SPC) of Hong Kong.

We still hold relevant registrations with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

We also have SC certification and hold relevant licenses in Malaysia.

We mainly adopt a liquidity strategy that focuses on macroeconomic fundamentals when managing funds.

Our main business areas are mainly in the Asia-Pacific market.

A CONSISTENT PATH

Since being founded in 2012, Arete has grown steadily, building on a foundation of disciplined investing informed by academic rigor.

2012

Arete Capital Partners Limited was established as the Fund Manager and Arete WV was renamed the Arete Macro fund.

2013

Silver Peak Cpt (OAL) was established and appointed as the Fund’s investment manager.

2014

Leading European hedge fund manager, Brummer & Partners, invested in the Fund, becoming a strategic partner.

2016

KLS Arete Macro Fund (the UCITS fund) was launched with OAL appointed as the sub-IM.

2018

ACP was restructured into a pure holding company. OAL continues to ac as IM for the fund.

2020

Firm level assets under management exceeded USD 1 billion.

2020

Firm level asset under management crossed the USD 2 billion mark.
